Over 20,000 3MTT Fellows to Benefit from Global Tech Recruitment Partnership

By Paul Chimodo

No fewer than 20,000 fellows under the Federal Government’s 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme are set to benefit from a new partnership aimed at connecting Nigerian tech talents with global employers.

The initiative, announced through a collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy and tech profiling platform Hello.cv, will provide selected fellows with access to digital career tools and recruitment opportunities valued at over $500 per participant.

According to the ministry, the package includes a personal professional domain, AI-powered job search support and professional CV writing services designed to improve the visibility of Nigerian tech talents in the international labour market.

Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, said the partnership is part of efforts to ensure that graduates of the 3MTT programme are globally competitive and visible to recruiters around the world.

The government noted that the 3MTT programme has already engaged over 160,000 talents across the 36 states and the FCT as part of plans to strengthen Nigeria’s digital economy and position the country as a leading exporter of tech talent in Africa.

The programme will also feature a “Global Profile Week” where fellows will be guided on creating professional profiles and improving their chances of attracting international job opportunities.

Top-performing participants are expected to receive additional career support, including premium access to recruitment tools and one-on-one career reviews. (technext24.com)
