The Spokesperson of Rivers State Police command Grace Iringe-Koko in a statement said Azunda Elechi who is twenty-eight years old from Omofo Community, a notorious member of a Cult Group, was among those that carried out an attack that killed four people.
Iringe-Koko said the cult group invaded the community again and during a shootout between the cultists and the Police and local vigilantes, AZUNDA ELECHI was fatally injured, and that one pump action and two live cartridges with three empty cartridge shells were recovered.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Nwonyi Emeka-Polycard, has urged parents and guardians to monitor the activities of their children and wards so as to ensure they do not succumb to societal pressures to do crime.
The statement said members of the public are enjoined to remain law-abiding and report suspicious activities in their neighbourhood to the police.
