NLC lauch Anti-Govt protest in Abuja.

Our correspondent JAMES IGAH is monitoring the development and reports that the rally took off from the Labour House en route the Presidential Villa.

At the take-off point, one of the leaders of the protest and President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, ALIYU WABBA, declared that it was criminal for government not to pay the salaries of workers and entitlements of pensioners.

WABBA also maintained that labour’s demand for an upward review of the national minimum wage was not negotiable.

He lamented that the Nigerian masses have been at the receiving end of bad governance in the country.
