The Director General of NIMASA, DAKUKU PETERSIDE said it was possible that the allegation is politically motivated.
He said there was no connection between Chief IKANYA and the company that was contracted by NIMASA for debt recovery.
The NIMASA Boss, who made the disclosure in an interview in Port Harcourt over the weekend, explained that the Debt Recovery Contract with Sneco has nothing to do with that of Global West Services Limited.
PETERSIDE said the contract with Global West Services was still subsisting, although the company is being investigated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commissions.
Furthermore; the NIMASA Director General also explained the debt owed the agency stands at a little over four hundred million US dollars.
