Nigeria has now officially joined other nations including; Rwanda, Malawi and DR Congo to pull out of the event.
In the meantime, President MUHAMMADU BUHARI and Vice President YEMI OSINBAJO have met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, GEOFFREY ONYEAMA to discuss next step on Xenophobic attacks against Nigerians in South Africa.
Reports say the Presidency is exploring possible options, including sanctions against the South African government.
