The report said the total road accidents were three thousand, three hundred and forty five in the first quarter of 2022, showing a decrease of one point eight two per cent from the fourth quarter of 2021, which recorded three thousand, four hundred and seven.
It said categorizing the accidents into categories showed that serious cases in the first quarter of 2022 were higher with two thousand, one hundred, compared to fatal and minor cases with eight hundred and seventy one and three hundred and seventy four.
However, it said serious cases of accidents were lower by four point zero five per cent in the first quarter of 2022, relative to the fourth quarter of 2021 recorded at two thousand, one hundred and ninety nine.
