NDLEA intercepts 1.5million pharmaceutical opioids, arms, ammunition

The substance was loaded in Onitsha, Anambra state and heading to Yauri, Kebbi state when it was intercepted.

According to the NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, the agency intercepted the drugs on Friday 14th January, the same day four hundred and twenty five thousand Diazepam tablets were recovered at Segemu, Kano.

In addition, a total of one million four hundred and thirteen thousand, three hundred and forty-four naira was seized along with arms and ammunition from a suspected bandit and a drug kingpin in Plateau State.

Over one hundred and thirty seven point seven five four kilograms of assorted illicit drugs were recovered during interdiction operations across seven states in the past week.
