Ndigbara Denounces Alleged Smear Campaign, Threats to Life

The Gbene-Mene of Bua-Bori in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, King Solomon Ndigbara, has condemned what he described as a sustained campaign of false accusations and online attacks against him.

The traditional ruler alleged that some Ogoni leaders were behind the smear campaign, claiming it was aimed at tarnishing his reputation and endangering his life despite his efforts to promote peace in Ogoniland.

Ndigbara made the remarks while receiving members of the Ogoni Daughters of Praise from Bua-Yeghe, who paid him a solidarity visit following rumours circulating on social media that he had died.

Speaking during the visit, President of the Ogoni Daughters of Praise, Ledgo Kogbo, thanked God for preserving the monarch’s life and dismissed reports linking him to the recent insecurity in parts of Ogoniland. She described the allegations as false and urged the public to disregard them.
