Chukwueze Named Man of the Match as Milan Beat Torino

Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze has been named Man of the Match after helping AC Milan begin their 2026/27 Serie A campaign with a 2-1 victory over Torino.

Chukwueze started the game and played the full 90 minutes, operating in a converted right wing-back role for new head coach Ruben Amorim.

The Nigerian was a constant threat down Milan’s right flank and provided the assist for the club’s second goal, which was scored by France international Adrien Rabiot.

Chukwueze also created four chances, the highest by any player in the match, while recording strong numbers for touches in the opposition box and possession won.

Alphadjo Cisse had opened the scoring for Milan in the 64th minute before Rabiot doubled the advantage three minutes later. Torino pulled one back through Ché Adams in stoppage time, but Milan held on for all three points.

The performance gives Chukwueze an encouraging start to the new campaign under Amorim after spending last season on loan at Premier League side Fulham.
