The affected projects were identified in the report of a Ministerial Technical Audit Committee on the review of contracts awarded in the Niger Delta between 2009 and 2015.
The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, USANI UGURU, disclosed in Abuja the land reclamation and erosion control project at Ogudu Abia Phase One had been abandoned.
Others include Idoro-Eastern Itam Water Supply Scheme and construction of Mbak Atai-Ikot Ntu-Mkpeti-Okuiboku Road project, both in Akwa Ibom State.
There is also Ukparam Water Supply Scheme and the construction and supervision of Omelema – Agada Two Road in Rivers State.
Pastor UGURU noted that the Ministry decided to terminate the projects because of lack of capacity and incompetence by the contractors to complete them.
