National Assembly committed to enacting laws conducive for journalism- Dogara.

In a message to mark this year’s World Press Freedom Day, DOGARA noted that no society can grow without an active press to monitor and report activities in all sectors.

According to a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, TURAKI HASSAN, the Speaker also expressed concern over Nigeria’s international press freedom index.

DOGARA said it was disheartening that the Press Freedom Index released last Wednesday by Reporters Without Borders ranked Nigeria at one hundred and twenty-two out of one hundred and eighty countries examined.
