The Chairman of the House Committee on Health Institutions, Doctor Pascal Obi, who is a Federal Lawmaker representing Ideato North and South Constituency, in Imo state gave the assurance when the Committee visited the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital on an oversight function.
Doctor Obi confirmed that a bill is on the way to prohibit consultants from traveling outside the country without spending a specific number of years in service to the country.
He expressed hope that the bill will be passed before the end of the Ninth Assembly.
