This is in accordance with the directive contained in a circular signed by the leaders of Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU; Non Academic Staff Union of Universities, NASU; and chairman of the Joint Action Committee of both unions, following the expiration of the fourteen-day ultimatum given to the Federal Government.
According to the circular, there would be no form of concession or internal arrangement with management within the five-day period of the strike, and any member who defaults would be severely penalised.
