A legal practitioner, Chetam Nwala, has accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, of contributing to the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State. He said the tension in the state is the result of what he described as excessive external influence on local political affairs.
Nwala argued that such interference has deepened divisions among political actors and heightened instability in governance. He called for greater respect for institutional independence and internal party democracy in resolving the crisis.
