Former President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, has urged Nigerians to accord maximum respect to the country’s armed forces following the recent altercation between the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and a naval officer in Abuja.
Lawan made the call while speaking to journalists after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja. He praised the armed forces for their sacrifices and unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security.
He emphasized that Nigerians, irrespective of social or political standing, must acknowledge and respect the selflessness and dedication displayed by military personnel across the country.
