Kenya Opposition in Parliament stormed out of session in protest over alleged assault.

Reports from the Kenyan capital, Nairobi indicate that chaos erupted in the parliament during a debate on changing the electoral laws to allow manual vote-counting for next year’s presidential election.

The proposed legislation by the ruling party is meant to provide a back-up to the electronic system, but the opposition is kicking against it as a way of rigging the poll.

When the bill was first opened for debate on Tuesday, some members of parliament exchanged punches.
