The victims, whose bodies have never been found, include two Frenchmen, a Malaysian, and a Benin national who disappeared from a hotel in Abidjan in 2011.
The incident happened during fighting in Ivory Coast following GBAGBO’s refusal to accept defeat in an election.
GBAGBO is also facing charges of crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court in connection with atrocities during the clashes.
