Akeredolu polled the highest score of 292,830 votes to defeat his closet rival Eyitayo Jegede of the People’s Democratic Party candidate who scored 195,791 votes.
The Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi who is the candidate of the Zenith Labour Party came a distant third with 69,127 votes.
The Ondo State Election Chief Returning Officer, and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Professor Idowu Olayinka made the announcement at the INEC headquarters in Akure.
