The Governor said this on his return to flag-off a road project at Etche Local government area of the state.
He said he has reported the development to the new Managing – Director of the NDDC, NSIMA EKERE.
Governor NYESOM WIKE warned that the Rivers State Government will not tolerate what he described as the excesses of the NDDC.
It will interest you to note that the Rivers state government has been having a running battle with the NDDC over construction of roads in parts of the state.
Recall that the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State had accused Governor NYESOM WIKE of taking over a road project that is being undertaken by the Federal Government, through the Niger Delta Development Commission.
State Chairman of APC, DAVIES IBIAMU IKANYA in a statement advised the governor not to create crisis in the state by embarking on flag-off for roads awarded by the NDDC, for which he said work was already going on.
