We had brought you a report that a military personnel identified as Darlinton Woheru, an indigene of Obelle, who reportedly returned home for holidays, was killed by unknown gunmen in front of his family house in Obelle Community.
Reacting to the death of the military officer, former Caretaker Chairman of Obelle Community Development Committee, Israel Anele, who is an uncle to the diseased, said his brother was allegedly shot dead by members of the Onelga Security Peace and Advisory Committee, in Obelle Community.
Anele, a former Divisional Police Officer, in an interview with Today FM, said his brother, approached some members of OSPAC who were having a confrontation with some of his relatives when an argument ensued and resulted in the shooting of Worehu, on his chest and head while two other of his relatives sustained gunshot injuries.
In the meantime; members of OSPAC in Obelle community have gone into hiding while the Police and the Nigerian Army are in the community in search of them.
The Acting Public Relations Officer of Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko and that of the six Division of the Nigerian Army, Lieutenant Colonel Charles Kekeocha, were yet to respond to text messages from Today FM on the issue.
