Governor WIKE announced the suspension of DANIEL while inaugurating a thirty-three man Committee to purchase foodstuffs from Farmers/Fishermen for distribution to Rivers people.
The governor who said the suspension of the Abua-Odual LGA Chairman was because of his failure to show commitment towards the fight against corona virus, said the suspension is for one month.
He also declared that the State Government will not wait for the Federal Government in its commitment to provide palliatives for Rivers people during the period of checking the spread of coronavirus.
Governor WIKE directed the members of the committee to work for the people of Rivers State by deploying the allocated funds for the good of Rivers people.
Secretary to the Rivers State Government, TAMMY DANAGOGO who responded on behalf of the Committee, assured the Rivers State Governor that the committee will deliver in line with its terms of reference.
