You will recall that the persons so arrested by officials of the State Government and the Peoples Democratic Party were paraded over the weekend at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
Five days after that incident, Governor WIKE has now alleged that move by the Police Assistant Inspector General in charge of Zone Six to take over the matter was not acceptable.
According to a statement released by his Special Assistant on Electronic Media, SIMEON NWAKAUDU, Governor WIKE alleged that the move to take the suspects to Calabar was intended to cover up the case and prevent the men from facing prosecution.
