Governor NYESOM WIKE was joined for the ceremony by the President of the National Industrial Court, Justice BABATUNDE ADEJUMO and other notable personalities in the judiciary.
In his speech; Governor WIKE noted that the State Government decided to fund the project not because of abundance of resources but due to the need for rapid development of Rivers State.
Governor WIKE stressed the need for Rivers State to take charge of its development destiny, even if it means spending money on projects that should be funded by the Federal Government.
He also noted that on completion of the NIC complex, Rivers people would no longer need to travel to Yenagoa in Bayelsa State to seek justice on labour related disputes.
A statement from the Government House in Port Harcourt quoted the President of the National Industrial Court, Justice BABATUNDE ADEJUMO commending Governor WIKE for showing his colleagues the way to go on project execution.
Justice ADEJUMO also informed the gathering that two judges of the National Industrial Court have been transferred to Rivers State to work in two courtrooms allocated by the State Chief Judge.
