Gov Wike declares 24-hour Curfew in Rumuokoro

Governor Wike said the decision was taken during a state Security Council Meeting due to the increasing cult activities within the Rumokoro area.

 

The Governor said the curfew will last for two weeks and called on security agents to ensure compliance.

 

He however said only workers of Julius Berger PLC who are currently working on the flyover in the area are allowed to move around.

 

 

 

The Governor while commending Rivers people for bearing the traffic situation caused by the construction of the various flyovers across the state announced plans to construct the seventh flyover to join the Ikoku and Azikiwe road in Port Harcourt.
