The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has declared a three-day national mourning period from June 12 to June 14 over killings, abductions, and banditry across the country.

CAN also declared June 14 as “Black Sunday” in churches nationwide in solidarity with victims of violence.

The association called on the Federal Government to declare a state of emergency on security, citing recent attacks in Oyo, Ogun, Borno, Kwara, and Kogi States.
