Parents Express Concern Over School Safety Amid Rising Insecurity

Some parents in Port Harcourt have expressed concern over the safety of their children in schools following the recent wave of kidnappings and killings reported in parts of the country.

The parents said they are increasingly worried about the security of their wards due to the worsening security situation nationwide. They called on governments at all levels and security agencies to strengthen measures aimed at protecting lives and property.

A security analyst, Charles Inko-Tariah, urged the government to adopt modern technology in addressing security threats. According to him, the installation of CCTV surveillance systems and internet-enabled GPS tracking devices would enable school authorities and security agencies to effectively monitor activities within schools and public places.
