The Odual Kingdom in Abua/Odual Local Government Area has condemned the killing of two of its indigenes, Pastor Moses Matthew Arugu and Azubuike Monday.
The victims, who were from Emirikpoko Community, were reportedly attacked and killed by unidentified assailants between May 29 and May 30, 2026.
In a statement, the traditional ruler of the community, King Temple MacDonald Jamala, said the victims were attacked between Ozochi Forest in Ahoada East Local Government Area and Idoda Forest in Ahoada West while carrying out their lawful businesses.
The monarch disclosed that the mutilated body of Pastor Arugu has been recovered, while efforts are ongoing to locate the remains of Azubuike Monday.
The Odual Kingdom called on the police and other security agencies to investigate the killings and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
