Governor WIKE claims that the DSS had resorted to deliberate misinformation and concocted stories to justify its operations against suspected corrupt judges, which he considers an assault on the nation’s judiciary.
Governor WIKE argued that the DSS lacked the constitutional powers to be involved in a process intended to discipline a serving judicial official.
The Governor reportedly told a gathering over the weekend at the Government House that the millions of naira in local and foreign currencies which the DSS claimed to have recovered from some of the arrested judges were concocted.
According to a statement released by his media assistant, Governor WIKE said he was not moved by the DSS claims.
Governor WIKE said it was ridiculous for the DSS to claim that two million US dollars was stashed in the home of one of the judges in Port Harcourt even when its operatives could not gain access into the house.
