The report comes with projections by the Committee members of where they expect Rivers State should be in the next fifty years, under what they dubbed Vision 2067.
The report presented by the Chairman, Chief FERDINAND ALABRABRA, also spells out detailed activities for the commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of the creation of Rivers State.
Chief ALABRABRA said a series of ceremonies would be rolled out for the celebration, beginning with the unveiling of the Golden Jubilee Logo and a world press conference.
He also said it would feature cultural events and performances to showcase Rivers State to the world, in addition to the launch of a book on Rivers State at Fifty and recognition awards for deserving individuals who contributed to the growth of the state.
In his response; Governor WIKE commended members of the Golden Jubilee Committee and further challenged them to do more to ensure a successful celebration, beginning in May this year.
Addressing members of the Committee at the Government House in Port Harcourt; Governor WIKE said implementation of the report would begin after a meeting between the State Executive Council and members of the Committee.
Governor WIKE also promised to complete some key projects that would be christened “Jubilee Projects” to celebrate Rivers State at Fifty.
