A former Chief Security Officer (CSO) of Khana Local Government Area, Letam Kinee, has reportedly been shot dead by yet-to-be-identified gunmen in Bori, the headquarters of Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State.
According to available information, the attackers ambushed Kinee, intercepted him and shot him multiple times before fleeing the scene under circumstances that remain unclear.
The incident has heightened concerns over security in the area, with residents calling on law enforcement agencies to apprehend those responsible and bring them to justice.
Detectives from the Bori Police Area Command and Bori Police Division have been notified of the incident, while the Rivers State Police Command is yet to issue an official statement.
Police investigations are expected to commence to identify the perpetrators and determine the motive behind the killing.
