A splinter group, Reformed Niger Delta Avengers which recently split from the NDA, had issued a statement alleging that former President Jonathan was the grand patron of the violent group.
The splinter Avengers in a statement signed by one CYNTHIA WHYTE also named some current and former Governors in the South-South, former Spokesman of the PDP, OLISAH METUH as well as Environmental activist, ANKIIO BRIGGS as sponsors of the group.
Speaking from Zambia, where he is scheduled to monitor elections next week, JONATHAN dismissed the list released by Cynthia Whyte.
The former President said he would soon issue a formal statement, but clarified that he was in no way tied to the Niger Delta Avengers.
OLISAH METUH has also denied any involvement with the Avengers.
