FG Meets Resident Doctors to Avert Planned Nationwide Strike

The Federal Government has met with officials of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) in a bid to avert the association’s planned nationwide strike.

The meeting, chaired by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, was held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Those in attendance included the Minister of Labour, the Minister of Health, the Minister of Finance, as well as representatives of relevant government agencies and medical bodies.

The meeting is part of ongoing efforts by the Federal Government to address the concerns raised by the resident doctors and prevent the planned industrial action, which could disrupt healthcare services across the country.
