The holidays were announced in a statement by the Minister of Interior, retired General ABDULRAHMAN DAMBAZAU.
Making the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government; DANBAZAU enjoined all Muslim faithful and Nigerians in general to continue to support and co-operate with President MUHAMMADU BUHARI in his efforts to diversify the economy.
The Minister said government was aware of the present economic challenges the nation is facing, following the downturn in oil prices.
Meanwhile; President MUHAMMADU BUHARI is billed to launch a new National Orientation Campaign with the slogan “Change Begins With Me.”
The campaign is being promoted by the Ministry of Information and Culture, through the National Orientation Agency.
