Ejiogwu in an interview with Today FM’s Olawale Sanusi emphasized the potential for substantial revenue generation and alleviation of rampant youth unemployment if the state government takes decisive action to revive the facility.
He also advocated for the reinstatement of the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA) to oversee the management of the fish farm as he believes that entrusting the RSSDA with this responsibility will not only optimize productivity but also ensure sustainable development and equitable distribution of resources.
Ejiogwu also drew the governor’s attention to the plight of RSSDA staff, who have endured the agonizing burden of unpaid salaries for an excruciating eight years.
He called on Governor Fubara to prioritize the settlement of these long-standing salary arrears so as to restore financial security to RSSDA staffs and their families.
