Eze ELECHI who was responding to the recent Gas Pipelines explosion complained that the oil multi-nationals have for a long time neglected the host community.
The Nyewe-Eli Rumuji community said the company’s refusal to sign the MOU was part of plans to deny the host community of its entitlement.
He also called for government intervention to ensure that the community get what is due them.
On his part the legal adviser to Rumuji community, CHIMA OBINNNA who spoke in an interview with correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR, threatened to challenge the actions of the company in court.
You would recall that some youths from Odegu Clan including Rumuji had staged a protest yesterday to draw the attention of the company and government to the fire outbreak which emanated from the Gas pipelines explosion.
