EFCC express worry over Whistle Blowers

The Chairman of the Commission, Abdulrasheed Bawa, said despite due diligence by the EFCC, investigative resources have been wasted by the anti-graft agency in following up false leads that frequently come to dead ends.

In a statement by the EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, Bawa said the Whistleblower Policy was not designed as a tool for deceitful citizens to send law enforcement agencies on wild goose chase or set them against their perceived enemies.

He promised that the EFCC will not hesitate to prosecute any whistleblower who provides the agency with false information.
