Done Deal: Super Falcons Defender Rofiat Imuran Joins Aston Villa

Super Falcons defender Rofiat Imuran has completed a permanent transfer from London City Lionesses to Aston Villa Women ahead of the 2026/27 Women’s Super League season.

The 22-year-old left-back becomes Aston Villa’s ninth signing of the summer transfer window as the club strengthens its squad for the new campaign.

Imuran began her professional career with Stade de Reims in France, where she made 27 league appearances and scored seven goals across two seasons.

She moved to London City Lionesses in 2024 and played a key role in the club’s rise to the Women’s Super League before securing her move to Aston Villa.

At international level, Imuran has represented Nigeria at major tournaments, including the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Nigerian defender will now begin a new chapter at Aston Villa as she continues her development in English women’s football.
