Despite court rulings and mass protests against his Executive Order; President TRUMP disclosed in a statement that visas would once again be issued once the most secure policies were in place.
The President maintained that the order was not targeted at Muslims.
In the meantime; reports from around the US indicate that sixteen state attorneys general have labeled TRUMP’s order as unconstitutional.
Also, several federal judges in the country have temporarily halted the deportation of visa holders.
TRUMP signed the Executive Order on Friday, halting the entire US refugee programme for one hundred and twenty days.
It also indefinitely banned Syrian refugees, and suspended all nationals from seven Muslim-majority countries.
Reports say those who were already mid-flight were detained on arrival, notwithstanding that they held valid US visas or other immigration permits.
