Our contact at the Plateau State House of Assembly said GAGDI was removed in a voice vote.
GAGDI was accused of being autocratic and having no regards for inclusiveness in his style of leadership.
In setting the stage for the impeachment, the Majority Leader, HENRY YUNKWAP, read a document in which eighteen out of the twenty-four members signed a no-confidence vote against GAGDI.
The House immediately elected SALE YIPMONG of Dengi State Constituency of Kanam Local Government Area as the new Deputy Speaker.
In his reaction, the sacked Deputy Speaker said he held no grudges against anyone for that action against.
He however said the good that about what happened to him is that no good reason was given for his removal.
It may interest you to note that GAGDI was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party to represent Kantana Constituency of Kanam local Government Area but he later decamped to the All Progressives Party.
