The civil society organizations are also mounting pressure on the police for regular update of the public on the progress of their investigation in the murder of ATSUWETE on Monday morning.
The position of the group was made known during a media briefing in Port Harcourt, three days after the deadly gun attack on the rights lawyer at Aluu in Ikwerre Local Government Area.
A member of the coalition, LIVINGSTON NWECHE said the killing of ATSUWETE was an attack on the civil society community in Rivers State.
Also speaking at the meeting, a human right activist, O.C HIGHER-KING warned politicians against politicizing of the murder of KEN ATSWUETE.
HIGHER KING also cautioned the Rivers State Police Command against making conflicting statements on the incident.
Our correspondent UCHENDU EJIOWHOR reports that the civil society coalition also dismissed claims by politicians that the slain KEN ATSUWETE belonged to a particular political party.
