Presiding Judge, Justice Sobere Hambo, in an ex parte application brought by the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, David Omereji, and ten others against the defendants, also stopped them from holding the congress at any other location or date pending the determination of the motion on notice already filed.
The court issued an order of interim injunction restraining the defendants, either by themselves or their agents, from taking further decisions or giving directives to extend the tenure of the state, local government, and ward executives of the PDP.
Justice Hambo adjourned the matter to July 19, 2024, for the motion on notice.
