The immediate past Majority Leader in the Senate, was facing four counts terrorism, which has been lingering in court since November 2011.
But Justice GABRIEL KOLAWOLE of the Federal High Court in Abuja yesterday dismissed the charges for want of evidence link the defendant with the alleged crime of hoarding information on terrorism and sponsorship the Boko Haram Islamic sect.
Justice KOLAWOLE therefore adopted the “no case” submission made by the defence lawyer, RICKEY TARFA, who is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, on behalf of Senator NDUME.
The Judge also ordered the release of Senator NDUME’s traveling passport, which was submitted to the Deputy Director of Litigation of the Court as part of the bail conditions.
The defence lawyer said the judgment could not have been decided otherwise based on the circumstances of the case.
