The ANDY is challenging the NDDC over alleged failure to implement international merchant navy training for Niger Delta youth in Dubai.

The youth group also accused the NDDC of hijacking contracts for clearing of water hyacinths meant for Niger Delta youths.

Counsel for the plaintiff, CHRISTIAN OJUBAGWU requested for multiple dates to enable the court fast-track consideration of the matter, without any objection from counsel to the defendant.

Our correspondent UCHENDUE EJIOWHOR reports that the Justice AGOMOH thereafter adjourned further hearing till 17th and 18th of January 2017.

Speaking to newsmen outside the courtroom, CHRISTIAN OJUBAGWU expressed the hope that justice would be done at the end.

OJUBAGWU said Niger Delta youth have been marginalized and their right denied them.

Our correspondent reports that counsel for the NDDC declined to speak to newsmen on the proceeding in court.

Meanwhile members of the Aggrieved Niger Delta Youths stormed the court premises in solidarity of the matters.
