A Port Harcourt-based cleric and Founder of Christ The Life Bible International Church, Prophet Ezuo Okenna, has urged Nigerians to vote according to their conscience in the 2027 general elections, stressing that the country’s future depends on electing credible leaders committed to addressing insecurity.
Prophet Okenna spoke on the sidelines of the 80th inaugural lecture of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), titled “Happiness Management as an Emerging Paradigm in Human Resource Management: The PLC Model for Enhancing Workplace Productivity,” delivered by Professor Jude Nwoka.
The cleric lamented the worsening security situation across the country, accusing the government of failing to protect lives and restore peace. He said the continued loss of lives reflects a lack of commitment by those in authority and maintained that insecurity can only be effectively tackled by leaders who prioritise the welfare and safety of citizens.
Commending Professor Nwoka for his lecture, Okenna urged governments and organisations to create work environments where employees feel valued, secure and motivated.
In his lecture, Professor Jude Nwoka, Dean of the Faculty of Administration and Management at IAUE, called on governments and organisations to invest in long-term employee development, equality and ethical leadership. He also recommended the appointment of a Chief Happiness Officer to institutionalise workplace wellbeing and improve productivity.
