State Commissioner for Special Services, EMEKA ONOWU said this while speaking with newsmen in Port Harcourt.
ONOWU said the state government has not failed in its commitment for prompt payment of salaries, adding that the biometric exercise has addressed the problem of ghost workers in the state civil service.
He said prompt payment of salaries has been prioritized by the current administration.
The Commissioner for Special Services who is also the National leader of non-indigenes without boarders in Rivers state, encouraged non-indigenes in the state to pay their taxes.
He said the state government is committed to utilizing its funds to develop the state.
