Archbishop TUTU has been in and out hospital in recent years said in a birthday message published in Washington Post that he wants the option of assisted death.
TUTU was quoted as saying he had prepared for death and has made it clear that he does not wish to be kept alive at all costs.
The clergy said he hope he would be treated with compassion and allowed to pass on to the next phase of life’s journey in the manner of his choice.
He argued that dying people should have the right to choose how and when they leave Mother Earth.
