Bill seeking to amend Rivers State Local Government Law passes first reading in State House of Assembly

In the presentation of the bill, the House Leader, MARTINS AMAEHULE said some sections of the Local Government Law of 2012 need to be amended.

Our correspondent reports that the House sat for only a brief session, after which it adjourned till 14th September to take the second reading and debate on the Bill.
