The APC said the opposition lacks the moral right to query the administration.
Deputy National Publicity Secretary of APC, Yekini Nabena in a statement rubbished the PDP attacks on the removal of fuel subsidy and total deregulation of the downstream of the oil sector.
The statement noted that under its watch, the main source of revenue has been transparently managed unlike what it said happened in the 16-year rule of the opposition.
According to the APC the sector in the last sixteen years was characterized and shrouded in unprecedented fraud and corruption to the detriment of the nation’s economy with reckless abandonment.
The party described as a morbid joke the attack on President Buhari’s attempt to justify the increase of fuel price in the country by comparing it to the one hundred and sixty eight naira per liter cost in Saudi Arabia by the PDP spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan.
APC noted that Ologbondiyan displayed a lack of understanding when he compared the minimum wage of Saudi Arabia and Egypt to buttress his points, forgetting that Saudi Arabia pumps twelve million barrels of crude oil a day as against Nigeria’s one point eight million even with a much higher population.
