Angola 2017 Presidential election :Counting enters second day.

The BBC reports that voting was extended in three provinces, while closed yesterday evening in the majority of the country.

The electoral commission said the extension covered fifteen polling stations that did not open because a plane that was taking election materials to remote areas had crashed in Moxico.

The commission’s spokesperson JULIA FERREIRA said some polling stations had also not opened in Benguela province and Lunda Norte.

The election is to produce a replacement for long-serving President JOSE EDUARDO DOS SANTOS who would be stepping aside after thirty-eight-years.
