In a swift reaction from AMAECHI’s media office Justice OKORO’s accusations has been described as a figment of his imagination, concocted to obfuscate and politicize the real issues behind his arrest.
The media office in a strongly worded statemet further said the claims by Justice OKORO against AMAECHI are blatant lies, bereft of any iota of truth or even logic.
According to the statement, AMAECHI did not and has never approached Justice OKORO in respect of the cases OKORO mentioned or any other case.
The statement further advised Justice OKORO to face his issues, describing his allegations as a cheap attempt as well as a political move to drag the name of AMAECHI into something he knows nothing about.
Justice OKORO had in a letter written to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice MAHMUD MOHAMMED? dated October 17, 2016, detailing his ordeal in the hands of the DSS, accused the Minister of paying him a visit to persuade him to give judgments in favour of the All Progressives Congress.
Justice OKORO alleged that on the 1st of February, 2016 AMAECHI visited his official residence on behalf of the party to solicit for APC’s win in the election appeals in respect of Rivers State, Akwa Ibom State and Abia State at all cost.
